All of the employees of The Hill Center for Integrative Medicine share a few common traits:
Dr. Brent Hill is the founder of The Hill Center for Integrative Medicine. His entire adult life has been devoted to discovering new ways of healing and healthful living. After finishing high school in his native Modesto, he labored shoulder to shoulder in local tomato canneries with workers who were prone to repetitive stress injuries, and who claimed that chiropractic treatment was the only thing that enabled them to lead normal, healthful lives. Dr. Hill experienced the value of chiropractic therapy first hand when he recovered from a traumatic accident a short time later. A veteran chiropractor did a full examination and x-rays, and began treatment right away that led to a full recovery. Most importantly, Dr. Hill's chiropractor talked to him about a career in chiropractic medicine. In Dr. Hill's own words:
"My chiropractor explained a lot about what he did, and about his years of education and training. I was impressed. He talked to me about becoming a chiropractor, and after researching the profession and touring several chiropractic colleges, I decided to make this my career. After completing my general education at Modesto Junior College, I attended the University of California Berkeley, where my major was Zoology with a minor in Physics. My next stop was Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. My education was intensely focused on natural ways to get people healthy and keep them healthy; my education was broadened by attending the Asian American Acupuncture University with an internship rotation through three Chinese teaching hospitals in the Republic of China (Taiwan). What a wonderful international experience to have the fusion of holistic health care from an eastern influence as well as a western one."
His formal training completed, Dr. Hill returned to Modesto with his wife Sheryl. As an associate in a chiropractic practice, he developed his craft and his interests as he and his wife Sheryl added to their family. In January of 1989, Dr. Hill struck out on his own, believing that he wanted to grow a practice in which more comprehensive care was offered. Twenty years and 20,000 patients later, Hill Chiropractic has become The Hill Center for Integrative Medicine, and has been voted the Modesto region's #1 chiropractic office for seven straight years. The Hill Center has an affiliation with the major hospital in our area, Memorial Medical Center, along with funding through the Lance Armstrong Foundation for the Triumph Fitness program, which is offered solely to and for cancer survivors.
The Hill Center staff of 19 consists of chiropractors, massage therapists, physiotherapists, medical doctor, medical assistants, radiology technician, registered nurse, and supporting staff of administrative and clerical personnel. Together, the staff has built a stellar reputation in the community for superior care and service.
